Since the beginning of its operation, METALSIDER has invested in projects, always seeking the highest efficiency standard for its products and environmental controls. This was how METALSIDER became benchmark in the domestic market:

• Pig iron industrialization and commercialization directly in the domestic consuming market; auto parts industries, several foundries and steelworks;
• Industrial park that includes seven blast furnaces, whose production capacity is approximately 400 thousand tonnes per year, in a total area of 900,000 m2.
• Pig iron produced in blast furnaces and using charcoal as a reducer;
• Pig iron batch casting from blast furnaces into ladles – each casting corresponding to one heat - promoting chemical homogeneity in the end product;
• Blast furnace feed system controlled by electronic scales.
